Erin has served as President of The Instinctive Advantage since 2012. As a Kolbe-Certified Consultant, she has introduced thousands of individuals to Kolbe Wisdom™. Erin continues to be inspired each day by the philosophy of “living within your instincts” — doing work that is consistent with your “natural way” of getting things done. Erin believes that using Kolbe Wisdom™ in the workplace makes for the most efficient use of time and resources, as well as creating more fulfilling work. Her passion comes through in all her client engagements.
Erin holds dual masters degrees from the University of Minnesota — a Masters in Public Policy and a Masters in Social Work. Her formal education allows her to evaluate issues on a macro level, while understanding and communicating with clients on an individual basis.
Erin resides in St. Louis Park, MN with her husband, Skylar, and son Eli & Micah.

Steve began his financial planning career in 1980 at Ameriprise Financial Services (then known as IDS Financial Services). He founded an independent firm in 1989, which then merged into Affiance Financial, LLC in 2000. Steve has received the Registered Rep magazine’s Outstanding Advisor Award (2010), BestPrep’s Bunzel Volunteer of the Year Award (2010), Park Nicollet Foundation Community Service Award (2010), Financial Network Investment Corporation’s Outstanding Representative of the Year (1999) and Circle of Achievement Award in recognition for his community service. Steve has also been a Kolbe certified external consultant since 2010. After doing countless personal interpretations, Steve uses Kolbe to help his clients and employees reach their full potential.

Executive Assistant
Billie joined The Instinctive Advantage in January 2024. They have 5+ years of experience working as an independent executive assistant and love supporting creatives and local businesses in this capacity. They have a passion for well-composed emails and color-coded calendars, but especially appreciate the chance to foster and build strong relationships with clients.
Outside of work they spend their time hanging at parks and going on bike adventures with their son.
